Maple Grove Approves Expanded Plan for Ninth Arbor Lakes Business Park Building

Maple Grove’s former gravel mining area has seen significant development. Now there’s plans to expand a proposed building in the Arbor Lakes Business Park.

The Maple Grove City Council this week approved an amendment to allow a 198,000-square-foot building added to the business park. That’s larger in size than an earlier proposal, which was 158,000 square feet in size.

Edina-based Endeavor Development is behind the project.

This would be the ninth building added to the Arbor Lakes Business Park, according to city documents. The building user is not determined, though the future building could serve a variety of possible tenants. According to Endeavor Development, the larger size of the building meets the needs of the market, which in turn is also expected to create more jobs.

The Endeavor project would be west of the Boston Scientific building currently under construction. Minneapolis-based Ryan Cos. is constructing a 400,000-square-foot campus to house as many as 1,600 Boston Scientific employees.

Construction on the project has an uncertain start date, though it’s likely to occur by next spring.
