The concerts aren’t the only excitement happening in Capitola this summer. Our Food Truck Fridays return from 4:30-7:30 p.m. July 12, Aug. 16 and Sept. 13 in Monterey Park. Swing by to enjoy family-friendly community fun, live music by Tsunami, Digbeats, and Coffee Zombie Collective, and a variety of tasty bites from an array of food trucks. It’s the perfect way to wrap up a busy week with great food and entertainment for all ages.

There are also exciting outdoor movie nights to look forward to. Movies at the Beach will feature “Grease” on Aug. 30 and “Shark Tale” on Sept. 20. Come early to claim your spot, enjoy free popcorn, and bask in the beautiful weather during this fun summer tradition.

You can also experience the vibrant Art at the Beach Series on June 23, July 7, July 21 and Aug. 4. Head over to Esplanade Park to enjoy breathtaking views of Monterey Bay while discovering an impressive array of artwork, from stunning paintings and striking photography to unique sculptures and exquisite jewelry. This family-friendly event is free and open to the public.

Finally, mark your calendars for the annual Wharf to Wharf race taking place on July 28. Now in its 51st year, the ‘best little road race in California’ will begin as usual in Santa Cruz and follow a picturesque coastal route to the finish line at Capitola Wharf. The race significantly benefits the local economy and youth programs, contributing more than $6 million since its inception.

Whatever your interests, the city of Capitola has an array of exciting activities for you to enjoy this summer. We look forward to welcoming you for an unforgettable experience.
