The American Film Market has unveiled the first group of exhibitors set for the inaugural Las Vegas event to run Nov. 5 to 10, 2024.
The Independent Film & Television Alliance said 145 companies so far will be in the new location at the Palms Casino Resort for AFM, including Lionsgate, A24, Neon, Voltage Pictures, AGC Studios, Black Bear Pictures, Altitude Film Sales, Protagonist Pictures, WME Independent and XYZ Films.
The new business hub at the Palms Casino Resort for the 45th edition follows film buyers and sellers leaving behind Los Angeles and the longtime headquarters at The Loews in Santa Monica.
Most major Hollywood studios and streamers have yet to commit to the 2024 edition, according to the latest updated list from IFTA unveiled on Monday. But the international film production and promotion contingent will include Gaumont, HanWay Films, Pathé Films, Trust Nordisk, Studiocanal, CJ ENM and Unifrance.
The designated hub in The Palms Fantasy Tower will also host international trade organizations, film commissions and national umbrella stands from 25 countries, according to AFM organizers. The Las Vegas location offers exhibitor office space and a 170,000 square foot conference, meeting and event space.
And AFM screenings will be held in one location, at The Palms’ Brenden Theatres 14-screen multiplex. Other exhibitors headed to Las Vegas include Anton, Film Mode Entertainment, Highland Film Group, Embankment Films, The Match Factory and Myriad.
The 2023 AFM event took place at the Le Meridien Delfina in Santa Monica after the film bazaar left its longtime headquarters at The Loews, the iconic beachside hotel.
