Akshay Kumar has finally addressed recent rumors surrounding his film commitments, particularly claims that he has been unwilling to dedicate sufficient time to his projects. Amidst speculation about his involvement in the film ‘Samrat Prithviraj,’ Akshay Kumar took to clarifying these assertions in a recent interview.

During his interaction with Galatta Plus, Akshay Kumar indirectly responded to critics by citing Hollywood actor Tom Cruise’s work habits on ‘Mission Impossible.’ He highlighted that Cruise managed to complete the film in just 55 days. The actor mentioned he too commits adequate time to his films as required, debunking the notion that he rushes through productions without consideration for quality.


“There are a few films that have a 75-day shoot schedule and others with 30 days. However much time the director requires, I am willing to give,” Akshay Kumar stated, underscoring his flexibility in accommodating different filming schedules. He expressed frustration over the changing perception of his work ethic, noting how earlier in his career, his efficiency in wrapping films was praised when they were commercially successful.

Akshay Kumar pointed out the shift in narrative now that some of his recent films have not performed as well at the box office. He emphasized that audiences are more interested in the quality of content rather than the time spent on production logistics. “People want to see content, people want to see your effort, people want to see what you have made,” he asserted.

Regarding the recent release of ‘Sarfira,’ which is a remake of the Tamil film ‘Soorarai Pottru,’ Akshay Kumar shared insights into his ongoing commitment to diverse film projects.
